Abstract: Haricane emerges from the need and the lack of cost-effective, ultra-portable hardware VST (Virtual Studio Technology) plugin host as an alternative to the current abundant hardware multi-effect pedals of the current market. Haricane is the first solution to utilize a x86-64 architecture platform that can load unlimited up-do-date VST3 protocol software plugins directly from VST vendors without any further modifications to their software structure while featuring incomparable economic benefits to the end-users. Currently, no companies are offering this kind of service to the end-users and with the addition of unlimited DAW (Digital Audio Workstation), HDMI and USB support, Haricane becomes a fully-fledged portable recording studio with no other competition in sight. The flexibility of the Haricane project aims to become a huge asset in the music industry and a unified factor between various 3^rd party software vendors. With its unique features such as universal compatibility with major third-party standalone guitar and bass amp modelling software companies (Overloud TH-U, BIAS FX, Line 6 Pod Farm, etc.) Haricane has set a major goal of becoming a big technological milestone within the music industry.

Haricane stands out from competition with its unparalleled pricing proposition, of just $600 acquisition cost. Considering that the second cheapest solution, for a top-of-the-line multi-effect pedal with similar capabilities, is at least €1600 then it is evident that the proposed Haricane solution exceeds current standards in an agile manner.

Haricane is developed by Octave Technologies Ltd, a Cyprus based Start-up which is well versed in the fields of Technology Integration and Music Technology. Octave Technologies Ltd was established in 2023 and is hosted under the Gravity Ventures incubation program with the vision to become a leader company in Creative Music Technology solutions. Our goal is to bring Haricane into the market, after preparing an elaborate business plan as part of this Pre-seed project.
